The Rumors Were True

I heard she was a sight to see, so i thought to give her a gaze.
heard she was something beautiful to see at the end of a long day.
When I found her, She was more than I'd expected
I found peace within her visage, so calm and collected
The wind ceased its rage, lost in awe of her glow
Found myself stuck, there was no where else to go.
My lips forgot its words to speak, so i spoke with my eyes
reflecting her immense beauty, as I looked up at the sky.

Dearest moon, My eyes love you
you give me something new every night
You have blessed me with your gifts
So I will never lose sight.
Though my body is weak and must retire
know my mind is alive and it seems
You've kindled my heart; a forest fire
which will burn through every minute of my dreams.

Until then my Moon, may my hands reach you
that I may grab you and pull you close
May my lips greet you with eloquence
to show it is you; I desire most.
