Incarnate Night

a sigh from the lungs
feel the breath escape
gravity seems increased
as the mind devastates
eyelids like drapes
to hide the vision of light
let slumber take over
just out of spite
no fight
just to make it seem easy
enter a land of wonder
let my body just leave me
perceive me
i see myself lurking
try to tell me to stop
but nothing i do is working
falling into a trap
an ambush i don’t see
but i seem to anticipate
the shadows around me
profound to me
but i let them attack
the blood leaks from the chest
it’s the color is black
a swift strike back
and shadows turn into dust
the blood swims down my body
until it dries like crust
i believe it must
but it continues to run
i try to slow the flow
but it cannot be done
the wound opens wider
and births a bright sun
the illuminate melts the moon
infused with the sky as one
my eyes drip down my face
like melting plastic
they fall into the ocean
as liquid becomes mastic
the epitome of drastic
my body falls into sand
as it sinks through the surface
and becomes one with the land.
